Following the March announcement and initial rumors at the end of May, Google is now generally removing the Movies & TV page on the Play Store. It has already been removed from multiple devices and accounts. Most consumers now only have four tabs in the bottom bar of their phones, and the part has been removed from the Chrome OS and Android tablet Play Stores, which are undergoing a bigger revamp.

Google no longer wants users to explore, search, buy, or rent movies and television series using the Play Store mobile app. The proposed successor is Google TV, which is highlighted everywhere from your news feed to your library too in addition to other things.

Applications, games, ebooks, and audiobooks are now the main priority for the Google Play Store. The bottom bar now only has three options for users to choose from: Games, Apps, and Books, with Offers or Play Pass as a possible fourth option. It does, however, marginally tidy up navigation.
