Oppo’s Rebranded Smartphone Oppo Reno 8 Pro with MDTK 8100 on Geekbench Listing
The Oppo Reno 8 series was introduced in China in May, and the devices are scheduled to be released in various worldwide countries, including India, soon. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro+, Reno 8 Pro, and vanilla Reno 8 are the three smartphones in the series.
In China, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ is driven by a Dimensity 8100 Max SoC and a MariSilicon X chip, while the Reno 8 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, and the vanilla Reno 8 is powered by a Dimensity 1300 SoC. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G has been identified on Geekbench with a chipset that is completely different from the one seen in the Chinese model of the Reno 8 Pro 5G.

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G worldwide edition with model number CPH2357 has been discovered on the performance benchmarking website. To begin, the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core processor with four cores operating at 2.85GHz and four cores operating at 2GHz. The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 (or 8100 Max) processor is different from the one found in the Chinese model of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro, which is powered by the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.

Furthermore, the smartphone is described with 12GB of RAM and will ship with Android 12 out of the box. The Mali-G610 MC6 GPU will be coupled with the chipset. In the single-core test, the gadget received 898 points, while in the multi-core test, it received 3555 points.
According to prior reports, the Reno 8 Pro+ will not be released in India. It would be interesting to watch whether Oppo launches the Reno 8 Pro+ 5G as the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G in India and other non-Chinese markets in the coming days.

Chinese Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ has a 120Hz 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of up to 950nits. The gadget is powered by a Dimensity 8100 Max SoC and also includes a MariSilicon X chip. The phone comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS3.1 storage.
The rear camera configuration includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, there is a 32MP Sony IMX709 snapper on the front. The Reno 8 Pro+ is powered by a 4500mAh battery and an 80W Super Flash charger.
The Oppo Reno 8 Pro in China, on the other hand, has a 120Hz 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC with a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Reno 8 Pro shares the same characteristics as the Reno 8 Pro+, including the camera configuration, battery, and charging speed.
