WhatsApp is Now Working for Different Skin Tones in Message Reactions. WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.13.4. Check out What’s New is In this update;

WhatsApp is Reportedly Working for the New Edit and Different Skin Tone Reactions. Previously; WhatsApp is found to be adding an option to edit messages after they are sent. It would let users to correct mistakes such as typing errors in their messages, without completely deleting them from the chat and writing a fresh text message. Separately, WhatsApp has started supporting different skin tones for message reactions. The new addition is currently a part of the latest WhatsApp for Android beta version and is available to some beta testers at this moment. It may reach the masses once the beta testing gets completed.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started testing an option to allow users to edit their respective text messages. You still can have a glance to the existing Info and Copy options that enables when user long press a text message.
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is Now Working for developing a new option that will let us edit text messages, so we will finally be able to fix any typo after sending a message! Probably there won’t be an edit history to check previous versions of edited messages but since this feature is under development, their plans may change before releasing the feature. In addition, details about the time window to let people edit their messages are unknown at the moment, but we will immediately let you know when there is news. Plus we currently don’t know how or what will be the maximum time limit for the re-editing of the message.
Note that, even if this screenshot is taken from WhatsApp beta for Android, WhatsApp is working on bringing the same feature to WhatsApp beta update for iOS and Desktop, and more details will be available later. Unfortunately, this feature is under development, we do not know when it will be rolled out to beta testers, but be sure whenever it is rolled out we will update it on our website so stay tuned for latest updates.
Editable Skin Tone Reactions:
WhatsApp is Reportedly Working for the New Edit and Different Skin Tone Reactions. WABetaInfo reports says that it has been rolled out to some users through WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.22.13.4.
WhatsApp now supports different skin-tone emojis for reactions today! As you can see in this screenshot, we have reacted to those messages by using the same emoji but with a different skin-tone every time. The skin tone for Folded Hands and Thumbs Up is now based on the last used skin tone emoji from our main emojis list. So, for example, if you have recently sent a Light Skin Tone Thumbs Up, it will also be available right within the reactions tray. This minor tweak for reactions is available today.
Be sure to install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update from the Google Play Store in order to use this feature. Note that their future plans also reveal the ability to react to messages by using any available emoji in a future update of the app.
